A new taco shop in Loudoun County is set to open its doors next week. We’re talking about the Bandit Taco location coming to the Village at Leesburg.

The Burn broke the news about Bandit Taco back in February. The DC-based brand is making its first foray into the suburbs with the VAL store. It’s taken over the space that was previously occupied by Flame Kabob, near the CMX movie theater.

Bandit Taco is planning to begin a soft opening on Monday, October 4. As regular readers know, a soft opening is a time where a restaurant or retail shop is open, testing their systems, letting their staff get some experience, before they hold a grand opening and begin marketing and promotions.

The menu at Bandit Tacos focuses on street tacos with all types of ingredients — skirt steak, adobo chicken, Korean beef, carnitas, baja fish, wild mushrooms and more.

According to the website, the brand’s most popular taco is its crispy shrimp taco served on a flour tortilla, topped with pickled cabbage, lemon saki and garnished with cilantro and scallions.

There are also burritos, quesadillas and bowls on the menu. Bandit Taco is a fast-casual style restaurant, meaning you order at a counter, then have a seat while your food is prepared.

The Leesburg location will also be offering carryout as well as delivery through all the major meal delivery services. You can see the full Bandit Taco menu here.

There are currently two Bandit Taco locations in DC. Leesburg is their third location and they are working on a fourth in Maryland. We are also told they hope to open additional stores in Loudoun if the right spaces can be found.
