Back in February, a small eatery called Bender’s Brooklyn Bites opened in downtown Leesburg offering up authentic New York-style hot dogs and other treats.
But building repairs forced the eatery at 10 South King Street to temporarily close earlier this summer. Now, Brooklyn Bites is ready to open again and its launching a new, expanded menu to celebrate.
The menu still focuses on hot dogs and smoked beef sausages. You can get them topped however you like — choosing from toppings like chili, cheese wiz, bacon, peppers, raw or sautéed onions, and more.
They also have curated hot dogs such as a classic Coney Island Dog, a Pepperoni Pizza Dog, a Philly Cheesesteak Dog, a Birria Hot Dog, and other interesting concoctions.
Side items include Frito pie, knishes, pickles, and even a mini funnel cake to top your meal off. You can see the new Brooklyn Bites menu below.
Brooklyn Bites shares space with Tarbender’s Lounge — a popular speakeasy style bar and restaurant that focuses on happy hour and evening hours.
Tarbender’s also had to close for the building repairs, but happily they were able to reopen earlier this month. And now its Brooklyn Bites turn.
The return to service and the new menu launch happens this Friday. The hours for Brooklyn Bites going forward will be from 4 to 10 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursdays, and 2 to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
