Sprouts organic grocery store in the works for Loudoun

It looks like Sprouts Farmers Market is working on its first Loudoun County location. The Burn has learned that the national grocery store chain is planning to move into a Leesburg shopping center.

According to documents viewed by The Burn, Sprouts is taking a nearly 25,000 s.f. space in the Battlefield Shopping Center at Edwards Ferry Road NE and the Leesburg Bypass.

It will be taking part of the space that used to be the Stein Mart department storeAs we previously reported, the other half of that former Stein Mart space will soon become a Boot Barn store.

Sprouts Farmers Market is an Arizona-based supermarket chain that specializes in natural and organic products. There are more than 380 Sprouts stores across the country.

Here in Northern Virginia, there are Sprouts stores in Herndon and Manassas.

We’ve got messages in to Sprouts for more details on their plans in Leesburg. Based on a best guess timeline, local shoppers are probably looking at an opening sometime in 2024.
