(Updated) A new festive Mexican restaurant is getting ready to open its doors in Herndon. Uncle Jalapeño — where the motto is “Crazy Tex Mucho Mex” — will welcome guests starting next Monday, October 23.
As The Burn first reported back in July, Uncle Jalapeño has taken a nearly 5,400 s.f. space in the Worldgate Centre. That’s off Centreville Road at Worldgate Drive, just north of Exit 10 off 267.
The menu at Uncle Jalapeño is full of all the dishes you would expect at a family Mexican restaurant — guacamole, chicken flautas, southwest egg rolls, hand-crafted tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and more.
The chef specials include a Chicken Lemon Crema, a Carne Chimichurri, and a Poblano & Cheese Volcano. You can see the full menu below.
