Almost one year to the day that The Burn broke the news about Duck Donuts coming to Loudoun County, the brand’s first store is ready to open its doors in South Riding.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 18, Duck Donuts in South Riding will welcome its first official guests for a Friends & Family event from 4 to 7 p.m.
If you have previously left a comment on the store’s Facebook posts and they “liked” it in return — you’re considered a friend. Just show them the post and you’re in.
The doors open to all guests starting on Thursday, October 19, for a soft opening from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. A ribbon cutting is scheduled for Thursday at 12:30 p.m.
We’ve also got a first good look at the new donut shop thanks to some fun photos the Duck team posted to social media.
The new store is located in the South Riding Town Center shopping plaza at the intersection of Tall Cedars Parkway and South Riding Boulevard.
As we mentioned, this is the first Loudoun location for the popular North Carolina-based brand, but it won’t be the last. A second Duck Donuts coming to the Broadlands in Ashburn was announced earlier this year.
