Sneak peek inside the new Rai’s Rendezvous in Ashburn

Rai’s Rendezvous, the new small plates restaurant and sports bar, is getting ready to open its doors this week and tonight they invited friends and family to come check out the new digs.

The restaurant — which took over the former Bungalow Alehouse building in the Ashburn Crossroads center off Ashburn Village Boulevard — will officially open its doors this Friday, October 20.

When new customers arrive, they’ll find a large bar area with tables as well as tall chairs encircling the bar. There’s also a video golf game and three pinball machines.

There are television sets almost anywhere you look, including a huge wall-sized screen in the dining room — making it a great communal space to watch big sporting events.

There’s also a large outdoor patio for when the weather is cooperating.

The Burn shared the full menu from Rai’s Rendezvous last week (see that report here), and tonight we sampled the Lobster Deviled Eggs and the Hummus Beiruti and washed it down with a Sully’s Neighborhood Lager from the Narragansett Brewing Co. We will be getting all three again.

As we’ve reported, Rai’s Rendezvous is the latest local restaurant from Basil and Jenna Kuhn — the same folks who own and operate Rai’s Pour House in Sterling, as well as Rai’s Pizza in Sterling and in Ashburn, and Sully’s Pour House in Herndon.
