Ford’s Fish Shack looking for neighbors at new Loudoun location

The plans are in place for the new Ford’s Fish Shack in southern Loudoun County — and now they are looking for some new neighbors.

As regular readers know, Ford’s closed its South Riding location in July in anticipation of a move in 2024 to a new building at the East Gate Marketplace.

The Burn was the first news outlet to report on the plans last December, which include a new 6,000 s.f. Ford’s restaurant, plus another roughly 8,000 s.f. space that will be the home to one or two additional new businesses.

Even though they haven’t broke ground on the project yet, they are already looking for their future neighbors.

The plans show Ford’s on one side with a tentative two spaces next door. Possible uses could include a juice/açai bowl shop, a dessert shop, or perhaps a medical office like a doctor or dentist.

In the meanwhile, Ford’s has started parking one of its Ford’s On The Road food trucks at the future restaurant site on weekends — the better to help keep folks in southern Loudoun connected to the brand and getting used to the new location.

Currently, they have their Blue Trailer there each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12 noon to 8 p.m.

No exact word on when construction work will start at the site — some of the building supplies have reportedly been delayed — but we’re told they expect things to get underway soon. Stay tuned.
