HCK Hot Chicken coming to Herndon shopping center

The Nashville-style hot chicken sandwich restaurants just keep on coming — and the trend shows no sign of slowing down. The latest headed to our corner of Northern Virginia is HCK Hot Chicken.

HCK Hot Chicken — sometimes called Hot Chikn Kitchn (that’s the HCK) — is setting up shop in Herndon. It’s coming to a 1,600 s.f. spot in the Village Center at Dulles shopping plaza.

That’s the big center with the clocktower off Centreville Road at Sunrise Valley Drive. HCK is going in just a few doors down from the new Taco Bamba restaurant that opened earlier this year.

HCK Hot Chicken is based here in NoVa. It got its start in Woodbridge and — according to the brand’s website — now has outlets in New York, New Jersey, Texas, and Florida, with Maryland coming soon.

The menu at HCK includes its signature Nashville style Hot Chicken Sandwich, along with Chicken Tenders, Chicken & Waffles, bone-in and boneless wings, Loaded Mac and Cheese, Loaded Fries, and more.

They also have Fried Krinkle Kut Pickles, a cooling cole slaw, desserts, and more. Check out the HCK Hot Chicken menu here.

As we mentioned, hot chicken sandwiches have been a popular trend in the fast-food and fast-casual restaurant world. Many of the well-known fast-food brands like Burger King, KFC, and Popeyes have added new spicy chicken sandwiches to their menus.

Meanwhile, three separate Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken restaurants have opened in Loudoun County just this year.

And The Burn has reported on other brands like Dave’s Hot Chicken and Crimson Coward Hot Chicken moving into Nothern Virginia as well.
