At long last, work is underway on a new Sheetz gas station and convenience store off of Gum Spring Road near the intersection with Braddock Road.
Plans for a gas station on the site have been floating around for years, and it was back in the summer of 2022 that The Burn first reported it would be a Sheetz location.
Now, work is underway on the site, with temporary fencing and signage surrounding the plot of land off McGraw Ridge Drive in the Whitman Farm development.
No word on a timetable to opening, but later this year seems like a safe bet. Other retailers at the development include a Dunkin’ donut shop, a Kokee Tea coffee and tea shop, a Papa Deeno’s Pizza restaurant, among others.
A Lidl grocery store has also been long slated for the site, but we haven’t heard any updates on if/when it might move forward. Same with plans for a possible auto repair shop.
